The ENDING Project: promoting safe and responsible ICT use
The ENDING project was designed to promote the safe and responsible use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) among students and educators. It focused on five key areas: the abuse of ICT and its impact on health and wellbeing, cyberbullying and safety, misuse of ICT, disinformation and critical thinking, and the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. The project utilised a peer-learning model, empowering students to become role models by identifying challenges in ICT use and proposing solutions to mitigate online risks. It produced a series of guides tailored to educators, families, and students, offering insights into the risks associated with ICT misuse and strategies for addressing these issues. These resources are available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The project involved over 250 students in workshops across Spain and Portugal, with additional outreach to more than 300 participants through various events.
