EUSOUDIGITAL aimed at teaching the Portuguese to use the Internet in a pandemic context
EUSOUDIGITAL is a project designed to promote digital literacy, i.e., to teach adults who have never used the Internet how to do so through digital training actions in the context of the family or local community and aimed to reach 1 million adults in Portugal by the end of 2023. The project was launched in 2021 and is promoted by MUDA – Movimento pela Utilização Digital Ativa, and supported by the Portuguese Digital Mission Structure, with funding from Caixa Geral de Depósitos bank, and Portugal 2020 Structural Funds for social innovation, social inclusion and employment. It is based on a national network of thousands of volunteers supported in more than 1.500 spaces across the country, such as parish councils, schools, care homes, etc.
