The Online Digital Database (ODD) is an extensive repository of resources designed to empower adult educators with tools and knowledge to promote social media literacy and ensure internet safety. Developed as part of the IPAD project, the ODD offers an innovative ICT-based platform that supports both national and international educators in enhancing their teaching methods, strengthening digital competencies, and fostering safe and responsible online behaviours.

With a curated collection of over 180 resources, the ODD is categorised into five key areas to provide targeted support for diverse educational needs:

  • Good practices: Real-world examples and case studies showcasing best practices in social media literacy and internet safety. These provide practical insights and replicable strategies for effective implementation.
  • Projects: A compilation of local, regional, national, and international initiatives, including EU-funded programmes such as Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020, as well as efforts by governments, enterprises, and NGOs.
  • Policy papers: Access guidelines, legal frameworks, public strategies, and expert publications that outline effective policies and recommendations in the field.
  • Methodologies and pedagogical approaches: Innovative teaching approaches and educational frameworks, including interactive workshops, scenario-based learning, storytelling sessions, and role-playing exercises, tailored for digital awareness training.
  • Tools and resources: A diverse selection of practical tools such as videos, infographics, online courses, webinars, and comprehensive guides designed to support educators in delivering impactful training sessions.

This database serves as a central hub for best practices, actionable insights, and innovative solutions, enabling educators to inspire meaningful learning experiences. By integrating these resources into their teaching strategies, educators can guide families and younger generations to navigate the digital world with confidence, responsibility, and resilience.

It is possible to browse by exploring all resources included in the ODD or to search for specific resources by selecting from “Category”, “Country of origin/application”, or “Language”. As an open search can also be performed by typing any text in “Text search”.
