CyberSafeKids – Talks for schools and parents
CyberSafeKids – an Irish registered charity since 2015, works to empower children, parents and teachers to navigate the online world in a safe and responsible manner. They embrace the positive elements of the internet and feel the responsibility as educators to eqiup young people with the tools to stay safe and avoid harm online.
Cybersafekids deliver interactive talks in primary schools in how to navigate the online world in a smarter and safer way. Talks can take place in the classroom or by webinar and cover a wide range of topics: Protecting Privacy, Personal Information, Managing Digital Footprint, Social Media and Gaming, Misinformation, and Cyberbullying.
For post-primary students in classes 1 to 4th class, Cybersafekids have developed 35-40 minute talks covering cyberbullying, creating a positive digital footprint, sexting and pornography, targeted advertising and scams, image and maintaining wellbeing, and applying critical thinking skills to online information.
A brochure is available to download for both levels.
